Proton X90 favoured by guest for its spacious comfort

National car manufacturer PROTON presented 20 units of the Proton X90 Flagship to the 17th World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention (WCEC) to be used to chauffeur foreign dignitaries, top management and members from various businesses during the three-day event held in Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC) from 9-11 September.

Organised by the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM), Proton’s first NEV model helped ensure VVIPs to the event travelled in comfort and elegance to meetings, appointments and accommodations as well as other travel destinations before eventually ending their trip at the airport.

Thanks to a spacious cabin with three-row seating that can accommodate six adults comfortably on seats trimmed with luxurious Nappa leather and equipped with independent rear air-conditioning, passengers provided positive reviews, stating they preferred to be driven in the Proton X90 due to its comfort and space.

This was further reinforced following trips to Melaka by entourages consisting of Cheng Hong, Vice President of the China Overseas Chinese Association and Wang Yanfei, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Sichuan Provincial People’s Congress, in the Proton X90 to visit some tourist sites after the conclusion of the WCEC.

Since its launch in May 2023, sales of the Proton X90 have totalled 7,322 units, making it one of the best-selling models in the SUV D-segment. It has also retained its leadership in the segment in August this year. Notable achievements for the model include, the Proton X90 Flagship winning the Local Car of the Year award at the 2023 edition of the StarCarSifu Editors’ Choice Awards, less than six months after its public launch.
